Vanessa Williams opened up to People magazine about plastic surgery in the mag’s August 5 issue, and while the 61-year-old star admitted to having used Botox in the past, she said her face would be staying au natural moving forward.
“We were literally just talking about fillers, Botox, who’s had work, who hasn’t done work,” she said, adding, “I have not gotten any … I don’t do fillers, I don’t do Botox anymore.”

The “Save the Best for Last” singer said that while she hasn’t “had a facelift,” she turns to “micro-current and nano-current technology, which is amazing.”
“I want to look like myself,” Williams said. “I want people to know this face has lived. That’s kind of where I am at at this point, at 61.”
The “Ugly Betty” alum admitted that sunbathing is one of her vices, adding, “Yeah, there’s some wrinkles, but that’s because I have sat out in the sun for too long. But I love the sun, dammit!”
She shared that one of her favorite pastimes was to relax outside with a crossword puzzle and “a nice glass of wine,” adding, “If that shows on my décolleté, too bad. I’m embracing my age.”
“I look at Diane von Furstenberg, I just watched her doc,” the first black Miss America said, explaining that she was inspired by how the fashion designer “was talking about embracing the wisdom and the age that you are.”
Williams seems to have changed her mind about injectables just two years after revealing her top beauty secret was “knowing where to get good Botox.”
The Broadway actress also told Pvnew Style in 2023 that getting plastic surgery would be something she’d “put off” and would be “the very last thing” she’d try when it comes to her beauty routine.
And although she might be skipping tweakments, Williams said she’s focusing on staying young in other ways.
“I’ve got all the tricks that keep me feeling good,” she told People. “I kick box, I lift weights, I cycle, I swim, I do whatever it takes. I want to stay alive.”
