This princess knows what she likes.
Kate Middleton stepped out with Prince William to honor Black History Month in the UK on Tuesday, surprising royal fans by wearing the same suit she just sported to meet Apple CEO Tim Cook on Friday.
The Princess of Wales, 41, made a thrifty choice by repeating the navy pinstriped Holland Cooper blazer ($669) and matching high-waisted trousers ($364) she wore in photos with Cook, but switched up the style by swapping her beige Gabriela Hearst turtleneck ($690) for a white Holland Cooper shirt bodysuit ($180).
She wore her hair in a wavy style, adding navy suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi ($795) and the same Shyla pearl hoop earrings ($82) she wore with a green Burberry suit to visit textile factories last week.
Royal fashion fans had plenty to say about her eighth consecutive suit in a month, weighing in on the Royal Fashion Police Instagram account’s Instagram post about Middleton’s look.
“bored bored bored!!” one fan wrote. “the only thing i like is how she didn’t wear the turtleneck again, it looked better how the model wore it with the shirt.”
A second said, “It’s gorgeous but at this point I’m bored. where’s the fashionista?! Bring her back please.”
“Why would she wear the same suit twice in one week?” another lamented. “It’s not bad enough she only wears the same McQueen or Mouret suits in different colors for every engagement. So disappointing!!!”
A fourth commenter went as far as to say, “Her stylist hates her… I’ll give her that.”
The Princess of Wales is definitely in her suits era, wearing blazers and trousers on repeat for events like the Rugby World Cup last month and a prison visit on behalf of her patronage the Forward Trust.
In fact, the last time she wore an outfit that wasn’t a trouser suit was on September 8, when she marked the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death in a burgundy coat dress and the late monarch’s earrings.
With autumn in full swing, there’s no telling when the suited-up looks will end.
