Olivia Munn had a special connection to the celeb officiating her and John Mulaney’s wedding.
The actress’ former “Newsroom” co-star Sam Waterston did the deed, Today reported on Wednesday.
The bride, 44, and Waterson, 83, played Sloan Sabbith and Charlie Skinner, respectively, on the HBO show, which aired from 2012 to 2014.

People was the first to report that Munn and Mulaney, 41, tied the knot last weekend at a friend’s home in New York state with son Malcolm, 2, and a witness present.
The couple have yet to address the headlines.
While the union is Munn’s first marriage, Mulaney previously wed artist Anna Marie Tendler in July 2014.
The former couple’s split news broke in May 2021, and the stand-up comedian publicly moved on with Munn immediately after.
By September of that same year, Mulaney confirmed that his partner was pregnant with their first child.
Malcolm was born in November 2021.
Munn was diagnosed with cancer one year into parenthood — but kept her health struggles private while she underwent a double mastectomy, a full hysterectomy and more surgeries in 2023.
The former “Daily Show” correspondent said on “Good Morning America” in May that she “thought of [her] baby” when she found out about her luminal B breast cancer.
She briefly delayed treatment to freeze her eggs since she and Mulaney are “not done growing [their] family.”
Before their wedding, the “Saturday Night Live” alum sparked marriage speculation by posting and deleting a photo of himself sporting a silver band on his ring finger for Father’s Day.
Although he replaced the upload with different pictures, eagle-eyed social media users caught the swap and called him out on Reddit.
The actor’s finger, however, was bare when he and Munn traveled to Paris for Fashion Week later that same month.
