This model is always groundbreaking.
After rocking bright, floral-printed pieces for part one of the fashion house’s Spring 2024 campaign, Gisele Bündchen, 43, has returned for a second round — and this time, she’s showing off something a bit more subdued.
In a new set of ads, the legendary model can be seen striking poses in various structured, black designs, all of which featured golden, floral embellishments.
According to a press release, Balmain’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing, felt Bündchen was the perfect fit for the gig, partly due to her résumé, which includes a small role in “The Devil Wears Prada.”
“Just as you’d expect, while we were working on our flower-focused designs for the Balmain Spring 2024 collection, my team and I kept repeating that brilliantly sarcastic line from our favorite film. I’m sure you which one I’m talking about: Miranda Priestly’s unforgettable dismissal of a florals-for-spring theme as ‘groundbreaking,’” he said.

While Rousteing and his team ultimately put a fresh, new spin on the theme with Balmain’s unique designs, the campaign really came together after choosing to work with photographer Rafael Pavarotti.
“Deciding on the spirit, focus, attitude and star of the spring campaign was just as easy: Gisele. Of course, it had to be Rafael’s compatriot, Gisele Bündchen,” wrote Rousteing, noting that it wasn’t just the model’s “amazing personality” and “breathtaking beauty” that made it the ideal match.
“Just to clinch the deal, knowing that Gisele had a role in ’The Devil Wears Prada’ was the perfect final touch needed to bring our whole florals-for-spring references full circle.”
For her part, Bündchen nailed it.
The images show the mom of two showing off her toned body and looking office-ready in a structured suit that more closely matched the costumes she wore as a fictional member of Runway magazine’s staff in the movie.
Another shot has her in a low-cut black gown, holding Balmain’s new top-handle purse, the Jolie Madame ($1,295), next to her head.
However, just because Bündchen is dressed up for a fashion campaign doesn’t mean she doesn’t nail casual style, too.
Back in April, she was spotted out and about in Miami, rocking super flattering leggings that she owns in two different colors.
She’s got the best of both worlds!
