In “Immaculate,” the actress plays an American nun who travels to stay in a remote Italian convent. However, things quickly turn sinister when she discovers her new home harbors disturbing secrets.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last month, Sweeney shared that she had flown both her grandmothers out to Italy — and even got them cast in minor roles.

“They’d never been to Europe,” she shared. “My Grandy’s dream was to go to Italy — she’s never left the country before. They were, like, little old nuns in there.”
