He’s got a suit of armor.
Timothée Chalamet came ready to slay at the “Dune: Part Two” premiere in Paris Monday night as he rocked a silver Givenchy breastplate on the red carpet.
At first glance, the “Wonka” star, 28, appeared to be wearing a traditional black suit with a shiny shirt, but upon further inspection, he wasn’t sporting a shirt at all, but rather a shining metal breastplate under his jacket.
The custom-made copper piece was inspired by a fall/winter 2018 Givenchy couture look, per the brand.
The breastplate — which reflected the red and orange shades of the red carpet’s step-and-repeat — “was completely shaped, hammered and polished by hand” by Parisian artisans and featured a mock turtleneck-style shape.
Chalamet paired his precious metal look with black boots as he posed for photographers at the premiere.
He wore his hair in his signature curly style, accessorizing with a pair of black sunglasses and Cartier ring and watch.
Of course, the actor is no stranger to a Cartier piece, having worn a dazzling custom candy-inspired gemstone necklace for the premiere of “Wonka” in London last year.
The “Bones and All” actor went for a more subtle look during the day, wearing a pair of brown leather pants with a simple black turtleneck for a photocall with the movie’s cast.
Meanwhile, Zendaya — who herself has worn a breastplate on more than one occasion — chose a 3D-printed wool Alaïa dress with bold wraparound cutouts for the daytime look, switching into a futuristic custom Louis Vuitton two-piece gold set.
With “Dune: Part Two” hitting theaters tomorrow, we have no doubt Chalamet will be wearing more otherwordly fashion.
