It’s a Halloween miracle.
In a move that might signal the end of their drawn-out feud, Kourtney Kardashian paid homage to sister Kim with her costume for the spooky holiday — with an assist from the Skims founder herself.
A source confirms to Pvnew Style that the pregnant Poosh founder, 44, borrowed the exact floral Givenchy gown Kim memorably wore to her first-ever Met Gala in 2013.
Kourtney — who is expecting her first child, a boy, with husband Travis Barker — re-created Kim’s entire look, sporting the same long, sleek ponytail, moody lipstick and matching heels her younger sibling wore 10 years ago.
The look was one fraught with many negative memories for Kim, who was invited to Anna Wintour’s annual event as then-boyfriend Kanye West’s plus-one while pregnant with the couple’s first child, North West.
Kardashian, 43, later revealed that she cried on the drive home from the “Punk: From Chaos to Couture”-themed party after seeing the cruel comments and memes making fun of her Riccardo Tisci-designed gown.
“I was very pregnant, very puffy and bloated and I was like, ‘Oh God, of course the first time I go, I’m gonna be huge,’” she said in a video for Vogue.
“Kanye [West] was performing so I wasn’t actually invited, I was just Kanye’s plus-one. And that was OK with me because I never really dreamed I would be at the Met Ball. I know no one really probably wanted me there at the time.”
While Kim recalled Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen voicing their approval of her gloved look, she added, “I think Robin Williams even tweeted it, said I looked like Mrs. Doubtfire. I was crying the whole way home because I just couldn’t believe it.”
Kim, of course, went on to nab her own invitation to the Met Gala year after year — occasionally bringing her own plus-one — and has become the May soirée’s undisputed star.
Who could forget her waist-whittling corset from 2019’s camp-themed red carpet, or the Marilyn Monroe gown she borrowed (and allegedly damaged) in 2022?
Kourtney, however, made her first (and so far only) Met Gala appearance in 2022, when she attended with Barker in matching Thom Browne outfits.
The sisters have been at odds since Kim secured a deal with Dolce & Gabbana on the heels of Kourtney’s D&G-hosted wedding the same year, but it appears fences may have been mended with this “Freaky Friday” fashion moment.
With Kim yet to reveal her Halloween costume, perhaps she’ll don Kourtney’s Dolce wedding dress and tattoo-inspired veil to complete the style switcharoo.
