Kate Middleton ditched her go-to blazers for the first time in a month to visit a Ukrainian community center in Bracknell, England Wednesday, wearing a cozy sweater vest with gray pants for her surprise appearance.
While the Princess of Wales, 41, kept her trouser era going with a pair of wide-legged gray pants from Sezane ($170), she went for a bit more casual look on top by wearing a crisp white shirt under a gray sweater vest from Cefinn ($190).
The royal brought back a pair of plaid J. Crew heels she only wore once in 2016, accessorizing with the same Shyla pearl hoop earrings ($82) she’s been sporting on repeat as of late.
She was given a ribbon pin featuring the colors of the Ukrainian flag, which the royal proudly pinned to her sweater.
Middleton wore her hair in soft curls for her visit to the Vsi Razom Community Hub, where she met with volunteers supporting Ukrainian refugees in the area.
The princess helped pack boxes with food and supplies for those still living in Ukraine and took part in a crafts session with kids who emigrated to the UK from the war-torn country — and she got hands-on (literally) by dipping her gloved palm in paint to add it to a tree design.
This isn’t the first time Middleton has shown her support for Ukraine; she wore gold-and-blue polka dots to stop by another Ukrainian center in November 2022 and sported a blue sweater with a flag pin for a March visit last year.
Her appearance Wednesday marks the ninth consecutive time she’s worn trousers for a public event, a marked shift in the royal’s usual dresses-and-skirts routine.
Middleton’s been rocking an array of trouser suits over the past month, even wearing the same pinstriped Holland Cooper blazer ($669) and matching trousers ($364) twice in less than a week after debuting the look in a photo with Apple CEO Tim Cook on Friday.
Unlike Tuesday’s repeat suit, royal fashion fans seemed to be into the autumnal look, with many praising the outfit on the Royal Fashion Police Instagram account.
“A variant on the pantsuit that is welcomed!” one fan wrote. “Probably would have looked better with a pleated midi skirt, but still I like it.”
“im just so excited there’s no suit!! this is a very interesting look…and i don’t hate it” another commented.
“This looks soooo good. At least some variety between the never-ending suits
