Drake Bell’s estranged wife, Janet Von Schmeling, went Instagram-official with her new boyfriend amid her ongoing divorce from the former Nickelodeon star.
The actress shared a cozy mirror selfie with new beau Jim Perez on her Instagram Story while celebrating National Boyfriend Day on Tuesday.
She added a red heart emoji along with the photo.
In the snap, Von Schmeling wore a chic navy mock-neck dress and nude heels and she accessorized with a Louis Vuitton purse.
Meanwhile, Perez looked handsome in a black suit and tie and shiny dress shoes.
The “Painting Autumn” actress, 29, filed to divorce Bell, 37, in April after four years of marriage.
She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split and requested primary legal and physical custody of their 2-year-old son.
Von Schmeling also asked that the “Drake and Josh” alum be granted visitation rights with their toddler and she was also seeking spousal support.
In January, Pvnew confirmed that the couple had separated after Bell was caught huffing balloons in his car while their son sat in the back seat.
Sources told us that Von Schmeling “had enough” and moved to Florida with their son.
“They had some incredible beautiful times before. He needs to focus on being healthy, and they’ll be great co-parents in the future,” a source told us at the time.
“It’s a bad moment in time for Drake. But he is a great dad when he is healthy and sober.”
But things spiraled for Bell when he was reported missing in April after battling suicidal thoughts.
An Orlando, Fla., police officer called 911 to report that a “celebrity who had a falling out with his wife” had been texting his family in California saying he was going to “get drunk and hang himself,” according to audio obtained by Pvnew at the time.
Bell was found safe later that day, claiming he couldn’t be reached because had just left his phone in his car.
A week later, Von Schmeling filed for divorce.
Bell claimed that he found out that Von Schmeling was divorcing him from the news, tweeting that month, “I found out my wife filed for divorce from TMZ.”
The “Going Away” singer and Von Schmeling, who have been romantically linked since at least 2017, secretly got married in 2018 and welcomed their son in July 2021.
