Doja Cat’s turning the Met Gala 2023 red carpet into her “Freaky Deaky” fashion playground.
The Grammy winner made her debut at Vogue’s prestigious ball Monday, channeling Karl Lagerfeld’s famous pet cat, Choupette, with her outfit.
Doja Cat — whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini — wore a silver sequined custom Oscar de la Renta gown with a dramatic hood and feathered train, the same color as Choupette’s coat. She completed the look with embellished animal ears.
Her glam was also fully feline as she rocked an elaborate prosthetic cat nose and dramatic cat eye makeup.
The “Say So” singer even meowed during her Vogue livestream interview.
It’s no surprise Doja, 27, scored a coveted invite to the star-studded soirée because, for the last year, she’s made one headline after the next with her fearless fashion and makeup choices.

Last summer, she shaved her head and eyebrows live on social media. This provided her with a blank canvas for beauty experimentation, which included a Midas-worthy moment involving gold paint in October.
Then, in perhaps her most memorable style slam dunk to date, Doja attended the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week in January with her face and body completely covered in red Swarovski crystals. More than 30,000 stones and five hours of work were required to pull off the show-stopping look.
During the same round of shows, she also repurposed false lashes as eyebrows and rocked a mustache and goatee at the Viktor & Rolf presentation for a surreal effect worthy of Salvador Dalí.
Regardless of what fans think of her look for the Met, don’t expect Doja to take any negative feedback lying down.
The “Vegas” singer often fires back at her haters, most recently by telling critics of her recent plastic surgery procedures to “eat my long quiet and warm farts.”
