Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll and Rauw Alejandro will provide the music at the 2024 Global Citizen Festival, a concert set to kick off New York’s musical autumn on Sept. 28. The annual gathering will be held, as always, on Central Park’s Great Lawn, with free tickets available by using Global Citizen’s app to take action toward one of the advocacy organization’s key missions.
Hugh Jackman is set to host, with Coldplay’s Chris Martin — a longtime friend of Global Citizen — and Jane Goodall due for special appearances. Additional performers beyond the aforementioned four are due to be announced in weeks to come.
Global Citizen’s lineups are typically as diverse as possible, to draw in as many different demographics as is reasonably possible to be exposed to the org’s action plans for ending poverty, increasing equity and fighting climate change. This year, there is arguably a bit of overlap, with Jelly Roll being a country star and Post Malone being a sometimes-country star — but generally these headliners bring in distinct audiences.
