She’s a rugby-playing royal.
Kate Middleton kept it casual as she took part in a training session with the England Wheelchair Rugby League on Thursday, swapping her usual businesslike looks for navy sweatpants, a polo shirt and sneakers as she took part in a match.
The Princess of Wales, 41 — who serves as patron of the Rugby Football League and the Rugby Football Union— showed off her sporty side at the engagement, where she celebrated Rugby League Inclusivity Day.
She wore a branded navy Rugby Football League polo and coordinating sweatpants for the occasion, pairing her look with the same white Lululemon sneakers ($138) — now offered in a slightly updated style — that she wore for a June rugby event.
The mom of three took part in several drills at the Allam Sports Centre in Hull, England, learning how the Disability Rugby League helps give confidence to people with disabilities, including both wheelchair-based and modified versions of the game for those who can run.
This is the second rugby-related engagement for the Princess of Wales in recent days; she traveled to France for the Rugby World Cup last month, wearing a white Alexander McQueen trouser suit to cheer on the English team.
While she suited up for the September match, the royal has worn plenty of sporty outfits for other rugby events, wearing a striped tracksuit to celebrate her new patronage in February 2022 and a bright blue top with black track pants in an Instagram video announcing that she’d taken over the post from Prince Harry.
Thursday’s event follows a business casual look for the princess, who visited a Ukrainian community center on Wednesday in a warm sweater vest from Cefinn ($190) and wide-legged gray Sezane trousers ($170) with a white button-up shirt underneath.
The outfit was a departure from the parade of trouser suits the Princess of Wales has worn over the past month, including a beige version of the burgundy Roland Mouret suit she already owns and a pinstriped Holland Cooper look she wore twice in less than a week.
From suits to sweatpants, the princess can do it all.
