He’s in the City of Love for one thing.
Olympic diver Tyler Downs joked he is only at the 2024 Paris Games to “stare at the hot athletes.”
The 21-year-old athlete posted a video on TikTok Sunday of himself and Latvian Olympian Jaye Patrick speed-walking to the dining hall to enjoy more than just food.

“going to the dining hall to stare at all of the hot athletes,” he wrote atop the clip, which garnered more than 650,000 views by Tuesday.
Downs wrote in the caption of the post that sightseeing was his “favorite hobby.”
In a second TikTok clip posted Monday, Patrick mouthed to Downs, “I feel like you’re just here for the zip line,” referring to a scene from Season 3 of the Netflix sketch comedy series “I Think You Should Leave.”
The American Olympian, who was distracted looking at people, replied, “What?”
“All you do all day is go on the zip line,” Patrick said as Downs looked away.
He wrote over the clip, “I feel like you’re at the Olympics to stare at the hot athletes” and captioned the post, “yes, and??”
Earlier this month, Downs shared that he had an open mind about dating while in Paris for the summer.
“I mean, it’s not completely off my mind. Whatever happens, happens. I guess we’ll have to see,” he told Us Weekly with a laugh.
“It’s Paris. It’s the City of Love and all that stuff. I’m hoping that people can find connections.”
Downs will have no problem making connections, as he has a partnership with Rizz, which bills itself as the world’s first flirting app.
“A bunch of my friends and I, we’ve been on Rizz all summer. Dating has been a part of a lot of the conversations. Rizz has been a huge help with chatting and flirting with people all over,’ he told the magazine.
“My close friends have given me a lot of advice. It’s mainly about just being yourself. If you do that, everything will play out the way it should.”
