Armie Hammer’s mother, Dru Hammer, is backing her son’s assertion that he never raped anyone or engaged in cannibalism — despite several women claiming otherwise.
“I would never say that Armie did everything right, because he didn’t,” she told the Daily Mail Saturday.
“Morally, he was wrong. But I do know my son was not out eating people. That I know. And Armie did not rape anybody. I knew that he was not morally right, but that was insanity.”

In March 2021, Effie Angelova came forward to accuse Armie, now 37, of “violently” raping her “mentally, emotionally and sexually” throughout their four-year affair, while he was married to Elizabeth Chambers.
The “Social Network” star’s attorney claimed at the time that his client and mistress shared “fetishes or kinky sexual desires” that were “completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance.”
However, Angelova’s allegations were fueled by claims another one of Armie’s exes, Courtney Vucekovich, made, including that the actor once said he wanted to “barbecue and eat” her.
Influencer Paige Lorenze, who also had a tryst with the “Call Me By Your Name” star, also alleged to Pvnew at the time that he used a knife to carve the letter “A” into her skin near her vagina and would allegedly intentionally bruise her as a branding method.
Leaked texts also showed Armie once told a lover, “I am 100% a cannibal… f–ck that’s scary to admit” and “I’ve cut the heart out of a living animal before and eaten it while still warm. Totally raw. Still warm… I’d eat your heart if I wasn’t stuck without you after.”
Dru now claims because the scandal “unfolded” amid the COVID-19 pandemic when people were “locked away,” it was the “perfect storm” as the “feeding frenzy for new information was at an all-time high.”
The “Hammered” author said she was tempted to speak up in Armie’s defense because “these girls had been in [her] home” but she followed her son’s lead to not talk to the press, as he reassured her, “‘The truth always comes out.'”
Lorenze, 26, once claimed that Dru warned her about her son’s “demonic behaviors.”
“I didn’t grow up extremely religious, so that was a little bit out of touch for me, but I did get a feeling from her like she knew that he had a very, very dark side,” the model said on “The Dr. Oz Show” in February 2021.
Dru told the Daily Mail that she does think her son was “in the wrong” because he was the “older actor” and the women were younger.
“They were influencers on Instagram or whatever,” she added. “Did he take advantage of them? Absolutely. He will say so himself.”
However, Dru pointed out, “Did he do anything criminal? Absolutely not. He’s been completely exonerated by the police.’
Armie did not face any criminal charges despite the allegations because the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said “sexual assault cases are often difficult to prove.”
“In this case, those prosecutors conducted an extremely thorough review, but determined that at this time, there is insufficient evidence to charge Mr. Hammer with a crime,” an official told Pvnew in May 2023.
Dru also praised the “Lone Ranger” star for his recent interview with Piers Morgan, in which he confessed to branding Lorenze with a knife but denied any of the rape or cannibalism allegations.
“He didn’t seem nervous – he said my story is my story, he’s not going to throw anyone under the bus,” the mother of two said, adding that she is “really proud of him for giving his truth.”
She concluded, “I love his frankness and honesty.”
