Miley Cyrus showed her allegiance to her mother, Tish Cyrus, after her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was overheard insulting the music manager in leaked audio and texts obtained by Pvnew Wednesday.
The Grammy winner, 31, posted via X and Instagram behind-the-scenes photos from a Gucci photo shoot, including two pics of her sweetly embracing Tish, 57.
It’s unclear whether the slideshow was meant to outright show the public she is on her mother’s side, but it’s been known that the “Flowers” singer has been estranged from her dad for some time.

When Miley accepted the award for record of the year at the Grammys in February, she noticeably excluded Billy Ray, 62, from her speech, only thanking her mom, sister, “love” and stylists.
“I don’t think I forgot anyone — but I might have forgotten underwear. Bye!” she added at the time.
In a recent interview on David Letterman’s “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” the “Wrecking Ball” singer said she “inherited the narcissism” from Billy Ray. She also called Tish her “hero” at the time.
On Wednesday, text messages of Billy Ray telling his manager that Tish is a “liar,” “whore” and a “cheat” were obtained by Pvnew – likely driving an even bigger wedge between him and his famous daughter.
“Complete Skank. Scum of the earth. A fraud. Makes Deanna [sic] Lohan look like Mother Theresa [sic],” the “Achy Breaky Hart” singer added in the heated messages.
In shocking recording we also obtained, Billy Ray slammed Tish for being “impregnated by two different men, and had those two children before she met” him, adding, “Everyone knows devil’s a skank.”
The former couple were married from 1993 to 2002 before Tish filed for divorce. Aside from Miley, they also share son Braison Cyrus, 30, and daughter Noah Cyrus, 24.
Billy Ray then moved on and got married to Australian singer Firerose Cyrus in October 2023.
However, they split in June after less than a year of marriage and have been involved in a messy divorce.
Billy Ray was also caught bashing Firerose, 35, in a separate audio clip released Wednesday, stating the “Plans” singer was an “idiot” and a “selfish f–king bitch.”
A source told Pvnew that the pair had been arguing because Firerose allegedly did not let Billy Ray participate in a concert with Nicki Minaj during the rapper’s Tennessee tour stop.
The insider added, “He was never violent with her, he was just pissed off. He never references his daughters, he never references his family.”
However, Billy Ray himself took to social media Wednesday to admit to losing his temper with Firerose.
“Hell yeah I was at my wit’s end,” he wrote via his Instagram Story. “As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud. I just knew something wasn’t right.”
Billy Ray’s attorneys also exclusively told Pvnew that they believe Firerose released the audio as a “last-ditch effort to squeeze money” out of their client.
“Mr. Cyrus previously admitted in a court filing that he had been very vocally frustrated and angry with Ms. Hodges during their seven-month marriage as he began to uncover more and more of Ms. Hodges’ true motives for marrying him,” Rose Palermo and Jason Talley of Cheatham Palermo and Garrett told us.
“With regards to this recording, Ms. Hodges is the person who made the recording without telling Mr. Cyrus that she was recording him. Of course, she was intentionally on her best behavior since she knew the recording was being made.”
The lawyers then accused Firerose – whose birth name was Johanna Rosie Hodges before she legally changed it – of “attempting to litigate her case in the press.”
Firerose’s rep declined Pvnew’s request for comment on the matter.
