Hailey Bieber admitted she is “not super close” with her famous family anymore.
The model, who is pregnant with her first child with her husband, Justin Bieber, explained in an interview that she is moving forward with her new unit instead of focusing on her past, which includes her father, Stephen Baldwin, sister, Alaia Baldwin, and uncle Alec Baldwin.
“I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family,” Hailey, 27, told W magazine in a cover story published Tuesday.
“But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories,” she added.
Despite her famous roots, Hailey said she enjoyed a “fairly normal childhood.”

“Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different,” she shared.
Hailey did not speak to any specific falling out, though the past year has been tumultuous for the Baldwins.
In February, police arrested Alaia, 31, in Atlanta for simple assault, simple battery, battery and criminal trespassing.
She had been inebriated and allegedly threw her used tampon at a bar employee.
Meanwhile, Alec, 66, was charged with involuntary manslaughter for the 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while working on “Rust.”
The judge in his New York trial dismissed the case earlier this month based on the misconduct of police and prosecutors over the withholding of evidence from the defense.
Additionally, Hailey reportedly became “pissed” at Stephen, 58, after he cryptically asked his Instagram followers to pray for her and Justin, 30, in February.
His public call to action sparked concern among the couple’s fervent fans, forcing Hailey shut down “false” theories about her marriage to the “Baby” singer.
“Just FYI the stories and constant ‘blind items’ I see on TikTok are 100% of the time wrong,” she wrote in a social media comment at the time. “Made out of thin air… come from the land of delusion.”
