Donald Trump Jr. warned teen boys to “stay away” from his 17-year-old daughter after she made her debut at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Kai Trump appeared at the political event Wednesday to support her grandfather Donald Trump’s bid for re-election and ultimately went viral for the speech she delivered at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham caught up with Don Jr. at the RNC and said she was “being told” that Kai was “being swarmed” by teen boys in the convention center, which immediately put the former president’s son in protective mode.

“Get away, you little bastards!” he quipped on “The Ingraham Angle” Thursday. “You stay away!”
Don Jr., 46, joked with the broadcast journalist that he should have reconsidered allowing Kai to deliver a speech given the influx of attention she has received.
“Perhaps I’ll regret picking up that phone and saying, ‘Sure, you can speak there,’ but I had to do that for her because she needed to do that for her grandpa,” he explained.
The high school student sported a cutout white dress with a bow in the back and heels and opted to wear her brunette hair down in waves for the headline-making event.
Kai shared anecdotes about Donald, 78, in hopes to gain support against President Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa,” she began. “He gives us candy and soda when our parents are not looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school. When I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was of me.”
As the Republican nominee watched from the audience, the up-and-coming golfer quipped about her grandfather’s inconvenient habits.
“He calls me during the middle of the school day to ask how my golf game is going and tells me all about his,” she said with a laugh.
“But then I have to remind him that I’m in school and I’ll have to call him back later.”
Kai is the daughter of Don Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump. The former couple married in November 2005 at the famed Mar-a-Lago estate and welcomed Kai in May 2007.
The businessman and the former model, 46, also share four other kids: Donald III, 15, Tristan, 12, Spencer, 11, and Chloe, 10.
Don Jr. and Vanessa split in 2018 and finalized their divorce later that year. He moved on with Kimberly Guilfoyle shortly thereafter and popped the question to the former broadcast journalist, 55, in December 2020.
