All dressed up — and didn’t actually go.
Bethenny Frankel showed off her flirty outfit for her first date since her breakup from ex-fiancé Paul Bernon, only to end up ditching her mystery suitor.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum shared in a TikTok video last week that she was about to go out in the Hamptons, but “things took a turn” and she made a last-minute decision to cancel the date after seeing the guy on the street and determining she was no longer interested.

“Outfit for the date. Let’s rip the Band-Aid right off,” she said in the clip as she twirled around in a colorful pink dress by Hemant & Nandita that she has had “for years,” coordinating Vince Camuto heels and a blush Dior saddle bag.
“Did the glam. What do you think?” Frankel, 53, asked her fans, showing off her full face of makeup. “It’s all right, right? Listen, gotta come in hot. Have a good night.”
However, the video then cut to the former Bravolebrity in her car telling viewers, “Abort! Abort!”
“Not going on the date. Will explain later,” she said in a hurry.
Soon after, Frankel posted another TikTok video to explain why she had decided to back out of the date.
“So I got dressed up to go out on a date with someone, and it was a last-minute thing, so that’s fine,” she shared. “But he was like, ‘I’m gonna meet a friend also for a drink,’ and I think he thinks I’m gonna meet them ’cause I know the friend, sort of.”
The Skinnygirl founder was en route to the meetup when she saw the man and their mutual friend walking down the street.
“The guy’s not my type,” she admitted to the camera, “and I’m all dressed up.”
Frankel said she also ran into her daughter, Bryn, who had been out to dinner with the reality star’s assistant. The 14-year-old encouraged her mom to “just go” on the date.
“I don’t want to waste time. I’d rather be home with you. I don’t want to go,” Frankel told her daughter. “So, I’m not going, and it sucks that I think I look cute, but I’m not going, so now I don’t know what the hell to do.”
The “Just B” podcast host said she is trying to figure out what her “new era” in life is like but that “wasting time is not part of it.”
Frankel shared that Bryn went into the restaurant to try and spy on the man, whose identity is unknown, and “verify that [she] shouldn’t go.”
“‘Cause I don’t think this person is my type, for many different reasons,” the ex-“Housewife” explained.
Frankel said she did not want to waste her outfit and decided to go to Rocco DiSpirito’s new restaurant instead.
“Gotta be adventurous,” she said. “It’s my adventure era.”
Frankel explained why she had agreed to go on the date in the first place and why she decided to change her mind in yet another follow-up TikTok video.
“Someone set me up with this guy, this man, and it was a very credible person setting me up — like, next-level credible,” she said.
The entrepreneur said the man was “age-appropriate, geographically desirable, handsome, successful” and that they had “great text banter” and “good phone conversation.”
However, Frankel shared that she noticed a “pink flag” when the man suggested she pick him up on the way to their date, as he lives between her Hamptons home and the main town center.
“I could also hang-glide off the Empire State Building, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon,” she sniped. “Like, you can meet me there or you can pick me up, but I’m not picking you up. I don’t like how it’s going to make me feel. That’s not happening.”
As a result, the “I Suck at Relationships So You Don’t Have To” author said she did an “FBI deep dive” into the man.
“I don’t know how I ended up [on] the internet, inside this man’s divorce agreement, which told me that his ex is supporting him,” she said.
Frankel also claimed that the court documents made it appear like the guy had “faked” how much money he made.
“It just freaked me out, and the person who I called to say, ‘What the eff?” she was like, ‘I’m horrified. I can’t believe this. Oh my God,'” she shared.
“We don’t want no scrubs, OK? And supporting a man? Yeah, been there, done that,” she added.
News broke in May that Frankel and Bernon, 45, had called off their engagement after six years together.
The investment banker also has been back on the dating market, romancing Aurora Culpo for approximately two months before Pvnew broke the news last week that they had ended things.
Frankel was previously married to Bryn’s father, Jason Hoppy, from 2010 to 2021.
