Kevin Spacey implied that King Charles III sent him a supportive message amid the actor’s various sex scandals.
In Tuesday’s episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Spacey praised the monarch for doing an “extraordinary job” over the years with the Prince’s Trust charity, which helps people aged 11 to 30 build confidence, get jobs or launch businesses.
The YouTube show’s titular host then said, “And when your trouble started, when the scandal blew up, he did reach out to you?”

The Oscar winner, 64, tried to remain coy, replying, “No, I haven’t heard from him directly, no.”
Morgan, 59, then pressed, “But through other people?” to which Spacey admitted, “That may be true.”
When Morgan later asked whether the king had “sent a message to” Spacey, the “House of Cards” alum confessed, “I heard a message, yes, and I’m very, very grateful for that.”
Spacey confirmed that the message was one of “support.”
Morgan noted that the gesture “must have meant a lot to” Spacey, who quickly explained, “Yeah, but look, I don’t want to drag him into all this.”
However, the “American Beauty” star revealed he had written Charles a letter in response that remains unsent.
Spacey’s career came to an abrupt halt in October 2017 when actor Anthony Rapp publicly accused him of sexual misconduct.
Rapp alleged that a seemingly drunk Spacey made an advance toward him at a party in 1986 when the former was 14 and the latter was 26.
Spacey claimed he didn’t remember the encounter and issued “the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior” before coming out “as a gay man.”
Despite the apology, Rapp sued Spacey in September 2020 for sexual assault and sexual battery. However, a jury found Spacey not liable on all counts in October 2022.
More than a dozen others then came forward alleging similar sexual abuse, some of which worked on “House of Cards.”
Netflix quickly severed all ties with him, as did many members of his team. He was also cut or scrubbed from several other projects.
The Guardian later published an exposé in which “a number of people” alleged that Spacey “groped and behaved in an inappropriate way with young men” as artistic director of The Old Vic theatre.
A September 2018 lawsuit then claimed that the “A Time to Kill” star sexually assaulted an unnamed masseur in October 2016 in Malibu, Calif., but the man has since died, thereby closing the case.
Three months later, Spacey was charged with a felony for allegedly sexually assaulting journalist Heather Unruh’s 18-year-old son in Massachusetts in July 2016, but prosecutors dropped the charge in July 2019.
In May 2022, Spacey was charged by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in the United Kingdom with four counts of sexual assault against three accusers from incidents alleged to have occurred between 2005 and 2013. He pleaded not guilty.
The CPS then authorized an additional seven charges against the “Se7en” star, all related to a single accuser from incidents alleged to have occurred between 2001 and 2004.
Some of the charges were dropped before the trial, and a jury found Spacey not guilty of the remaining ones in July 2023.
