Abbi Jacobson and Jodie Balfour are married!
The “Broad City” star announced the news on Instagram Wednesday along with several photos from her and the “For All Mankind” actress’s wedding.
“We got married!” Balfour, 37, wrote in the caption of her post before thanking Cultured Magazine for featuring their nuptials in a print issue. “We’re suckers for it, and you. Grab an actual real life magazine to have a proper gander.”

The couple said “I do” at Public Records in Brooklyn three years after their first virtual date during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“After so much distance, we wanted the wedding to feel like that first sweaty shoulder moment — total togetherness,” Balfour told the magazine. “I think we did that.”
Both brides walked down the aisle in the Row dresses “right off the rack.” For the reception, Jacobson, 40, changed into a Versace chainmail dress, while her new wife went for a Vivienne Westwood design.
The pair initially planned on tying the knot in an outdoor ceremony with an al fresco dinner afterward, but that all changed when they were hit with torrential rain.
“We had to pivot,” Jacobson said.
“It was such kismet, because the ceremony was not what we expected, but it was exactly what we’d hoped for. People were packed together. When we looked out at the audience, our friends were on stools, peeking through the plants, and sitting on top of the booths. I’ve never been to a wedding like that.”
The weather also forced the wedding party to have their seated dinner transformed into a buffet.
“I remember calling Emma [Leigh Macdonald], the chef, on the brink of tears about the idea of a goddamn buffet,” Balfour recalled.
“We had been planning the seated dinner for months. Emma said, ‘It’s going to be beautiful. There will be no bunsen burners.'”
The venue was decorated with sculptural flower arrangements by Rana Flora, and the newlyweds shared their first dance to Aretha Franklin’s “Don’t Let Me Lose This Dream.”
“My dress destroyed Jo’s tights within 35 seconds,” Jacobson shared, with Balfour adding, “It really was ‘one of those nights.’
“We were in a dark wooden room with no windows, an insane sound system, and a disco ball,” the “Bomb Girls” star continued. “Everyone’s nice clothes became wet rags. People were smoking who don’t smoke. Our moms did the hora. It was like we all existed in a different dimension for a while.”
Jacobson and Balfour revealed their engagement in August 2022.
The “A League of Their Own” co-creator shared that she proposed to the “Rellik” star in London with a toy ring from her childhood.
“We were both crying,” Jacobson reminisced. “Jo said, ‘You little s–t, I have a ring for you, too.’”
