Jamie-Lynn Sigler revealed she suffered a near-death experience about a year ago after suffering complications from an undisclosed surgery.

The former “Sopranos” star had been living at an ashram in India when her life completely changed.

“I had felt so awakened and connected and peaceful,” she explained in Tuesday’s episode of her “MeSsy” podcast, which taped in January. “Two weeks later, I had a very bad reaction to a surgery and got sepsis and was in the hospital and almost died.”

Sigler, 43, admitted she never “told anybody” about her health scare.

“Two weeks after a year ago, right now, I was in a hospital, literally, like, this much away from death,” she said.

The actress, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in her 20s, said nearly dying served as one of the main incidents that defined her “year of grieving” and forced her to turn to professional help.

“I would cry to girlfriends… I reached out,” she continued. “I sat by myself, I got a therapist, I did all of these things I had never really done before and went through this process that was absolutely necessary.” jamielynnsigler/Instagram

“I had never in my life been more sad, felt more low,” she recalled. “But what I learned from India was I had an inability to escape it. I had to sit in it.

“I would scream in pillows. I would cry to girlfriends… I reached out. I sat by myself, I got a therapist, I did all of these things I had never really done before and went through this process that was absolutely necessary.”

Sigler used her anecdote to encourage her podcast co-host, Christina Applegate, to get a therapist as well after the “Dead to Me” star admitted she no longer “enjoys living” in light of her own battle with MS.

“I’m in a depression right now, which I don’t think I’ve felt that for years,” Applegate, 52, shared.

“Like a real, f–k-it-all depression where it’s kind of scaring me, too, a little bit because it feels really fatalistic. I’m trapped in, like, this darkness right now that I haven’t felt [in], like, I don’t even know how long, probably 20-something years.”

The “Married… with Children” star told Sigler she has been “so afraid” of therapy to help treat her depression because she didn’t want to cry.

“I’m so afraid for those floodgates to open and that I won’t be able to stop,” Applegate admitted before promising to get professional help.
