The NFL player and his brother, Jason Kelce, were surprised with a University of Cincinnati commencement ceremony at Thursday’s “New Heights” live show.
Podcast fans cheered as Travis, 34, walked across the stage at the Fifth Third Arena in Ohio to receive his diploma — stopping first, however, to chug a beer.

“A surprise commencement we’ll never forget,” the university captioned a joint Instagram post with Travis, congratulating him and Jason “on (finally) picking up their diplomas.”
While Taylor Swift did not attend the event, the athletes’ parents, Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce, looked on proudly — and Swifties celebrated on social media.
“GUYS, TRAVIS ACTUALLY GRADUATED!!!!” one Instagram user gushed, while another joked, “When you beat all of gta and just got the sidequests to do.”
A third wrote that the tight end was “getting that degree so he can understand” Swift’s upcoming “The Tortured Poets Department” album, out April 19.
Another called Travis and Jason the “PHDs of Football.”
Travis, who began dating the Grammy winner last year, attended the university from 2008 to 2012.

He didn’t graduate at the time, instead obtaining his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2022.
The “Catching Kelce” alum wanted to partake in the college’s commencement ceremony, but he was not allowed until returning a helmet the school claimed he had in his possesion.
As for Swift, the songwriter received an honorary doctorate from New York University in 2022.
The pop star may have been absent from her boyfriend’s event Thursday, but he honored her in subtle ways.
Not only did Travis make headlines for dancing to “Shake It Off,” but he wore beaded friendship bracelets on his wrist.
He and the “Cruel Summer” singer are on brief breaks from their respective careers at the moment, returning from a trip to the Bahamas in March and subsequently spending time together in California.
