Clint Eastwood made a rare public appearance to support friend Jane Goodall last month.
The 93-year-old actor was photographed sitting alongside the famed conservationist at an event in Carmel, Calif., according to a photo recently shared on linkedIn.
“Went to see Jane Goodall speak in Carmel. At 90 years old, she is truly a saint,” Fred Greenstein, who attended the event, wrote.
“Shared lessons from living with apes and her passion for protecting the planet. Talking with Jane here is a very disheveled Clint Eastwood.”

While it’s unclear if Eastwood spoke at the “Reasons for Hope” seminar, the twosome appeared deep in conversation while chatting side-by-side in matching armchairs before the show.
The “Gran Torino” actor seemed to be in good spirits while wearing dark slacks, a green-and-orange plaid button-up and a two-toned light-weight jacket.
