Victoria Beckham revealed that she and David Beckham were forced to quietly meet up in parking lots to keep their relationship out of the public eye.
“My manager kept saying,‘Try and keep it under wraps,’” the Spice Girls alum explained in the teaser trailer released Tuesday for the upcoming Netflix documentary “Beckham.”
“So we would meet in car parks and that’s not as seedy as it sounds.”
Giving an extra tease, the trailer then cut to the retired soccer player who laughingly said, “Classy.”
The new four-part Netflix series follows David’s upbringing and successful athletic career after the footballer became one of the most well-known names in sports.
The docuseries will also detail his and Victoria’s longtime romance, which began in 1997 after the two met at one of David’s Manchester United soccer games.
“We talked for about an hour in the players’ lounge, and she actually got the train out that day,” David recalled in a February 2020 interview on “The Tonight Show.”
“So, she wrote her number down on her train ticket, which I still have.”
Posh Spice also shared her rendition of their first meeting in a 2016 letter written to herself in British Vogue.
“While the other football players stand at the bar drinking with their mates, you will see David standing aside with his family. (He’s not even in the first team at this stage – you are the famous one.) And he has such a cute smile,” Victoria wrote.
“You, too, are close to your family, and you will think how similar he feels to you. He’s going to ask for your number. (He still has the London-to-Manchester plane ticket on which you wrote it.)”
A year after meeting at a bar, the couple announced they were engaged.
However, before they got to tie the knot, they announced that they were expecting their first child, Brooklyn.
The two would go on to wed in July 1998 after welcoming the first of what would be four children just four months later.
After more than two decades of marriage, both David and Victoria still take opportunities to gush over each other.
David, 48, revealed to the Sun on Friday that he got a tattoo to honor Victoria, 49, and her successful career with the Spice Girls.
“I’ve just had ‘Posh’ done … any of the tattoos I’ve got are of the family,” David told the outlet, showing off the inked “Posh” on his hand. Just one month ago, however, their 18-year-old son, Cruz, also got the word “Posh” tattooed.
In addition to Brooklyn and Cruz, the love birds also share son Romeo, 20, and daughter Harper, 12.
“Beckham” begins streaming on Netflix Oct. 4.
