This model is a natural beauty.
Paulina Porizkova has graced the covers of dozens of fashion magazines over the past four decades, and last week, the supermodel gave fans a look at her unfiltered self in a new Instagram Reel while admitting that she sometimes needs “to gulp some self acceptance.”
“This is a 58 year old face without fillers, Botox or surgery in good light with professional gorgeous makeup,” she wrote in the lengthy post, which showed Porizkova wearing bright red lipstick and shimmery eyeshadow as she turns her face to the left and right.
She wears her gray hair pulled back in an elegant knot and sports a white bathrobe in the before portion of the video, changing into a blue top.
“And here’s the same face without makeup,” the runway star continued, switching things up to show herself bare-faced.
Although Porizkova shared that she’s “had lasers (ultherapy and Morpheus ) and used spf religiously” since her twenties, she’s otherwise left her skin untouched.
“I have chosen not to put anything ‘into’ my face – but even with the fanciest creams and lasers that promise to restore some collagen- I am aging,” she wrote.
Porizkova — who posed nude on Instagram for her 58th birthday this year — admitted that while “some days” she likes that her “face has gained character even as it’s lost its youthful prettiness,” she sometimes struggles with getting older.
“Other days, (and this is mostly only if I do a photoshoot), I have to gulp some self acceptance.
I have changed,” the “No Filter: The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful” author shared.
The catwalk star — who is dating writer and producer Jeff Greenstein and was married to late Cars frontman Ric Ocasek for more than three decades — praised her boyfriend in the post, writing, “there is a love in my life who finds me beautiful, and tells me so with words and actions every day.”
However, the Czech-born beauty — who posed in a full-frontal nude shot for Vogue Czechoslovokia in 2021 — said that feeling beautiful must come from within.
“Outside, I have changed. I’m told by society – for the worse,” she wrote. “Inside, I have also changed. I’m told by those who matter- for the better. When I close my eyes, I have never felt so desirable or beautiful.”
Fans were loving her post, like one who wrote, “This is what I would like to see on the cover of Vogue. A gorgeous woman who loves herself enough not to airbrush the life out of her face!”
“This is what makes you AWESOME,” another commented. “Please keep showing young girls that beauty does not need filters. Your purpose for helping us all realize that we are enough by being our authentic and transparent selves is such a gift.”
We’re looking forward to more unfiltered looks at Paulina.
