Don’t expect this beauty to get Botox.
At 54, Christy Turlington says she won’t be embracing plastic surgery procedures, telling Marie Claire that she commends those who keep it all natural as well.
The iconic supermodel gave readers a peek into her self-care and makeup routine, telling the magazine, “Women who have stayed away from augmentation of themselves—those are the women I really admire.”
“I love seeing a real face,” the Calvin Klein model declared.
“A face of someone who’s lived life.”
The ’90s super model called the late Jane Birkin (and people like her) her “beauty icon,” because “They have the kind of faces I like to see and we don’t get to see as many of those in the world anymore.”
Turlington described Birkin as being “as beautiful at the end of her life as she was early on,” and explained, “I will be one of those faces. I am one of those faces.”
The mom of two has opened up about her distaste for plastic surgery in the past, telling Town & Country in 2016 she’s “never” had Botox or plastic surgery because she doesn’t have the time and doesn’t think it looks good.
“Maybe I would think differently if I thought it looked good and it didn’t hurt and it didn’t send bad messages to young people. But I’ve never seen someone who I’ve been like, ‘Oh, that’s a good idea.’ It looks freaky to me,” Turlington continued.
Turlington’s friend and fellow model Linda Evangelista was famously a victim of a procedure gone wrong, suing a cosmetic treatment company that allegedly left her “brutally disfigured” while Turlington supported her in the aftermath.
The yogi isn’t the only celebrity who’s outspoken about avoiding cosmetic procedures. Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner, Drew Barrymore and more A-listers all talked about avoiding fillers and Botox.
