Alec Baldwin is back on his feet after getting hip replacement surgery less than two weeks ago.
However, the “30 Rock” alum, 65, was spotted Friday needing the assistance of a cane in order to walk around the concrete streets of New York City.
Paparazzi snapped Baldwin going for a stroll while wearing a large gray shirt, a black undershirt, slacks and dress shoes.
He paired his ensemble with a metal forearm crutch that kept him from losing his balance.
Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin, announced on Instagram on May 30 that the “Paris Can Wait” star had undergone surgery.
“Alec got a new hip today…it was a long time necessary,” the yoga instructor, 39, captioned a selfie of her and Alec taken from a hospital bed.
“We have been through so much together…as your partner and as you heal, I want so very much for you to leave this very intense chronic pain chapter behind and improve your quality of life.”
She concluded by thanking the medical experts who took care of her spouse, writing, “Grateful to Dr Davidovitch, Dr Miller, Dr Golden, Dr. Furgiuele, the nurses, pt, ot, staff and the other amazing people who so generously are bringing him safely through this.”
Alec then wrote in the comments section, “And you. Thanks to you..”
Although Friday’s outing is the first time the “It’s Complicated” star has been seen out in public since his procedure, he previously gave his fans a health update on Instagram.
“The pain goes away gradually … but it is painful,” Alec admitted in a video posted on June 4. “It’s incredibly painful.”
The father of eight said he needed the surgery done “at least two years ago” and had been walking around “limped” that entire time.
“I did myself no favors,” he added, noting he did “compensatory damage” to other parts of his body, including his back, neck and knees. “To limp around with this condition for two years was tough.”
Alec had previously undergone hip replacement surgery for his left hip in 2018.
However, he explained in his recent video that the reason for the delay on his right hip is he “didn’t have the time” to get the procedure done due to his busy work schedule.
“I didn’t have four to six weeks to kind of limit myself that way,” the “Saturday Night Live” actor said.
For more than a year, Alec had been involved in a legal battle over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his upcoming Western film, “Rust.”
The movie star adamantly denied ever pulling the gun’s trigger, and after he was formally charged with involuntary manslaughter, he pleaded not guilty.
However, charges were dropped in April and filming resumed on “Rust” shortly after.
