Carl Radke is calling his ex-fiancée’s bluff.
The “Summer House” star revealed Friday he thinks his ex Lindsay Hubbard is lying about being “blindsided” by their broken engagement.
“I firmly don’t believe she was blindsided because we’ve had these conversations,” he told People at BravoCon.
Hubbard, 37, broke her silence on their split Sept. 14 by sharing a lengthy note to Instagram (that has since been deleted) in which she said she was “humiliated” and “heartbroken.”
“My entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me and I’ve had a hard time making sense of it all – with no answers or closure on why,” she added.
“We had a really rough summer and I think people will see that,” Radke, 38, further explained during his BravoCon conversation with People.
“But it just shows the gravity of the situation when I really deep down felt like I needed to have a conversation with her about where we were at in our relationship and moving forward with the wedding.”
The Loverboy investor also denied Hubbard’s claim that he orchestrated their breakup to be filmed by Bravo cameras.
“I don’t decide what is being filmed on Summer House. I really don’t,” he said.
“I just respond to what’s being requested.”
Although he’s the one who pulled the plug on their relationship just months before their wedding day, Radke said handling the “very painful and emotional” breakup is more difficult than when his brother died in 2020.
“This is the first time I’m talking in two months because I wanted to be respectful because it’s painful for the both of us,” he noted.
“There’s still some closure and things I feel like that are gonna need to be figured out at some point.”
“But I’m just on one day at a time. I’m just trying to just take care of myself.”
Hubbard, for her part, has maintained that she had no idea she wouldn’t be a bride this month.
“He blew up my entire life. I was crying, I was angry and I had to find closure on my own,” she told Us Weekly in an interview published this week.
Speaking of the troubles they had over the summer, she explained, “Every couple has normal arguments, but nothing that would’ve been so drastic as to break up.”
“It was literally the last two weeks of summer that his demeanor and tone changed.”
“There was a lot of combativeness and aggression on his end, and I was very confused,” she further claimed.
The former publicist also claimed this week that her and Radke’s breakup was a “quick in and out conversation.”
In addition, she said she does not plan on filming with him in the near future.
“At this point in time, I would not be comfortable sharing a house with him after what he did. I mean, this man — I can never trust him again,” Hubbard stated.
“The way that he called the producers and set up the cameras — [he] blindsided me and humiliated me in such a public way.
“I’m not comfortable at this point in time.”
Hubbard and Radke’s entire relationship played out on “Summer House” beginning with its premiere in 2017.
They got engaged in 2022 during the show’s seventh season.
