Shannon Beador admits there were a lot of “unhealthy things” happening in her life when she was arrested for driving under the influence in September.
“I’ve spent the last month, which I really had that amount of time, focusing on myself,” she told E! News at BravoCon Saturday, claiming, “I never drink and drive.”
She added, “I’m the Uber girl. But you know there were a lot of unhealthy things going on in my life and I did drink more alcohol.”
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star’s appearance at the three-day event came less than two weeks after she was officially sentenced to three years probation, 40 hours of community service and a nine-month alcohol program for the hit-and-run incident.
Police found her blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit when she crashed into the side of a home in Newport Beach, Calif., leaving behind a trail of debris.
Beador, 59, also revealed to E! News that she’s spent time at a “wellness center” after the scandalous DUI arrest sparked an animal control investigation as her dog, Archie, was inside her car at the time.
“I went to a behavioral wellness place with an alcohol component in it and I’m eliminating and have eliminated a lot of the toxic and unhealthy things in my life,” she explained to the outlet.
“So I’m really looking forward to moving on and I’m excited about it.”
She continued, “I was offered, actually, multiple free stays at alcohol rehabs, but I chose a behavioral one because I want to figure out what’s going on in my head so I make good choices from now on.”

The Bravolebrity has reportedly felt very “ashamed” over the incident, previously telling Pvnew via her attorney, “I am grateful that no one else was injured besides me in this incident. I have learned so much from my terrible mistake that night and realize that driving any distance while impaired is too far.”
Meanwhile, an insider told us the “RHOC” star is seemingly staying sober while in Sin City for BravoCon.
“She only drank water,” a spy said of Beador’s night on the town Thursday.
It appears she was trying to stay on her best behavior, rocking a chic white ensemble and calling it a night by 10 p.m., per our source.
