Kenya Moore defended Bravo’s call to cut Ramona Singer from BravoCon 2023 after the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum used a partial racial slur.
“If someone is truly behaving that way and saying those things and showing all of the signs of being a racist then they don’t need to be on Bravo,” the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star exclusively told Pvnew Friday at BravoCon in Las Vegas.
“I’m a very honest, straight shooter. She’s never been my favorite,” the reality star said, adding, “And I think it was the right decision for her not to be here.”
Moore, who starred alongside Singer on Season 1 of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” told us that her co-star’s partial racial slur goes against the “foundation” of Bravo.
“[Bravo] is inclusive of everyone,” the Kenya Moore Hair Care founder said, explaining that the network not only “put programming for gays on the map,” but has also been inclusive of various types of “race, age and sexuality.”
“And if you have someone that represents that network that’s going against the entire foundation it is built on, they don’t need to be here.”
Pvnew broke the news Tuesday that Singer was axed after she texted a partial racial slur to a Pvnew reporter during a conversation about Vanity Fair’s exposé about Bravo.
“And the word I used was ‘NWord’ Not n-g…” she wrote via text to the reporter.
Singer was attempting to defend herself after Vanity Fair claimed she had used the N-word with a black crew member while filming Season 13 of “RHONY.”
As for Moore, she told us that the claims made against Singer in the outlet’s exposé were not surprising.
“I kind of knew a lot of it, but I just never spoke publicly about it,” she shared.
Andy Cohen has also praised Bravo’s decision to remove Singer from the invite list following the fiasco.
“Well, I mean I think listen, not to dwell on it, but I think just the events of this week led to her not being here. I think it was the right call, and period dot,” he told Pvnew Friday.
The “Watch What Happens Live” host also shied away from speaking directly about Singer’s future with Bravo.
“Well, I mean, we already shot ‘RHONY Legacy,’ so you will see her there, yeah,” he said in reference to the forthcoming spinoff “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy.”
Although that series will air, Bravo made the call to cancel the “RHONY” Season 13 reunion in 2021 as there were already rumblings of Singer’s alleged racist behavior.
Singer has not yet issued a statement after she was disinvited from BravoCon. Her future with the network remains unclear.
