“Mama” June Shannon regrets spending $1 million on drugs and, as a result, she’s become more conservative with her dough.
“Now I’ve gone back to being like penny pinching,” the reality star — who famously called herself a “coupon queen” on “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” — told the Daily Mail Wednesday.
“[My husband] Justin [Stroud] tells me I’m a money hoarder.”
Shannon, 43, also confessed that she will reflect on the lowest point of her addiction and think to herself, “Girl, what the hell are you doing spending all that d–n money?”
“I think about a lot of things I could do with that money,” she added. “My husband tells me all the time that I can’t dwell on it.”
Shannon admitted, however, that she is unclear about what was going through her mind when she was high and therefore, she’s unsure of why she made the choices that she did at the time.
“I don’t remember like a lot of that time frame,” the “Mama June: From Not to Hot” star said.
“Just bits and pieces and stuff, but the biggest, stupidest thing I’ve done is spend that much money on drugs.”
Shannon first confessed to blowing $900,000 on drugs in March 2021.
“I would say the last year of our addiction, [we spent] probably a good $900,000,” the TLC star previously told Access Hollywood. “So much money was sent to our dope man.”
The “Mama June: Road to Redemption” star added at the time, “I went into rehab with $1.75 to my name, and I came out with nothing.”
Her drug addiction issues reached an all-time high when she and her now ex, Gene Doak, were arrested in March 2019 on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance for crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
The TLC star has since turned her life around and remained sober.
Following her previous money woes, Shannon has also kept herself on a budget — even for her February nuptials to Stroud, 35.
Earlier this week, the reality star told Pvnew exclusively that she was able to have an “extravagant” wedding in Florida for just $13,000.
“We had only 38 people at our wedding and it was his family and my family only,” Shannon shared. “And we had an amazing wedding designer and she put together an extravagant wedding that looked like I paid $50,000.”
