Ripa-ing them a new one.
Kelly Ripa jokingly scolded her own talk show, “Live with Kelly and Mark,” after learning that a dog named after her wasn’t permitted to enter the studio.
Ripa was chatting with audience members before Tuesday’s taping when she freaked out upon seeing someone wearing a “Kelly Ripug” T-shirt, according to a video shared by the show’s Instagram page.
“You’re the owner of Kelly Ripug?” Ripa eagerly asked the man while referring to the famous dog from Instagram.
“We have to get a picture together. I’m obsessed!” she told him.
Jerry Power, the owner of the popular pug, mirrored Ripa’s excitement and revealed that he brought her and her co-host, Mark Consuelos, matching “Kelly Ripug” T-shirts.
“I brought you and Mark shirts, but they said I can’t give them to you,” Power told Ripa.
Ripa, however, insisted that he hand over the custom shirts.
The television personality then gushed about how much she “loves” the dog and wants to “meet Kelly Ripug,” but Power shared the devastating news that the studio would not let him bring her.
“This is such bulls–t!” Ripa jokingly exclaimed to the cameraperson filming their conversation.
Consuelos seemed equally as excited as his wife when he walked over and learned Power is the owner of Kelly Ripug.
“Oh my God!” he exclaimed.
“This is, like, the best moment of my life. I’m dying,” Power said before telling Ripa, “[You’re] my Judy Garland.”
Even though he wasn’t able to bring his adorable pooch to the show, Power was still able to snag a photo with the married co-hosts.
Afterwards, several fans flocked to the comments section to gush over how “sweet” Ripa and Consuelos were to Power.
“Awwww how awesome! He was so happy!! I’m tearing up!! Very cool,” one person wrote under the Instagram video.
“He was genuinely sooooo happy n kind …Omygosh made me smile ..that was sweet
