The Met Gala is going to be absolutely purrfect.
Kim Kardashian shared some behind-the-scenes snaps of a trip to Paris on Instagram yesterday as she prepped for Monday’s Met Gala — and the late Karl Lagerfeld’s cat, Choupette, joined in on the fun, prompting some to wonder if she’d be attending with the reality star.
“Had a date with @choupetteofficiel in Paris,” Kardashian captioned her post. “We then spent some time at @karllagerfeld’s office to get a little inspiration for the Met.”
Kardashian, 42, wore the designer’s black iridescent patent trench coat ($529) in the photos as she laid on a bed with Choupette, 11.
Along with visiting the beloved Birman — who recently starred in a Vogue shoot with Naomi Campbell — the Skims founder headed to Lagerfeld’s office to view fashion sketches ahead of Monday’s big night.
Her visit is particularly apropros as this year’s Met Gala theme is a tribute to Lagerfeld, who died at the age of 85 in 2019.
While it was initially reported that the Kardashians weren’t invited to this year’s gala, a source told Pvnew earlier this month that Kim would indeed be attending, with yesterday’s post firmly confirming her spot on the Met museum steps.
Katy Perry seemed to be into the kitty playdate, commenting, “WHAT AN ICON! @choupetteofficiel.”
“I bet she takes the cat to the met gala with matching outfits LOL,” one fan wrote.
“Amazing Kim ! So glad Choup had some time with you !” another added.
Others pointed out that the discerning feline has a modelesque pout.
“That cat is big time frowning lmfao,” one fan wrote.
Another referenced the cat Kanye West once gifted her — which she had to give away due to an allergy — writing, “Kimberly you know damn well you are allergic to cats.”
As for Choupette walking the red carpet next week, this cat is playing coy.
Her official Instagram account shared a video earlier this week of the snoozing kitty along with the caption, “Me, while everyone is wondering if I’m going to the Met Gala [sleeping emoji].”
Choupette’s agent exclusively confirmed to The Post that she was invited to this year’s gala, but stopped short of promising her attendance.
“She got the invitation,” the My Pet Agency owner said, adding, “It’s an event in honor of the legacy of Karl, and Choupette is obviously a central part of the legacy.”
We’ll see if Choupette hits the catwalk on Monday.
