Tristan Thompson has been accused by his ex’s sister of neglecting his 6-year-old son, Prince, and not paying child support.
Jordan Craig’s sister, Kai Craig, slammed the NBA star on Thursday after Kim Kardashian raved on the recent episode of the “Kardashians” about how the father of four takes her kids to school and attends their extracurriculars.
“It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy. I haven’t for over 7 years, but this is just too much,” Kai wrote in a lengthy statement on Instagram.
“It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince.”
Kai’s comments come after Kim praised Thompson — who shares two kids, True, 5, and Tatum, 1, with her sister Khloé — on Thursday’s episode for being a “good friend” and “good dad.”
“I know guys are gonna hate me for this and you’re gonna hate us and you’re gonna think Khloe is whatever,” the Skims founder, 42, explained.
“It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and he’s such a good like Dad, but he just couldn’t get it together in that area, of like being a faithful boyfriend.”
Kim continued that she “obviously” wanted to hate Thompson, 32, for cheating on her sister, adding that it was “f–ked up” and she had several fights with him.
“But he’s also shown so many decent things and just has been a really good person and friend. When he saw me struggling with my kids, he stepped up,” she continued.
Kim — who shares North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4, with ex-husband Kanye West — added the Cleveland Cavaliers star even started attending her eldest son’s basketball games and taking her kids to dinner.
While Kim was swift to note that Thompson had “grown and evolved,” Kai condemned the basketball player for being more of a parent to kids who aren’t his own.
“The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, yet never sees or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable,” Kai continued in her Instagram post on Thursday.
“@KimKardashian I don’t want to believe that you are this insensitive to the fact that he literally ignores his children. That’s nice if he’s been a good friend to you, but let’s consider our sisters before taking to global platforms to defend this man’s character.”
Kai further accused Thompson of not paying child support for Prince despite reports that he was ordered to pay $40,000 to his ex.
“To set the record straight, the child support rumors are INACCURATE! Tristian has not paid that child support in a very long time and has stopped paying Prince’s school tuition,” Kai claimed. “He hasn’t even inquired where Prince goes to school now.”
Reps for Thompson did not immediately return Pvnew’s request for comment.
She furthered her sister Jordan, 32, also works multiple jobs to give her son a comfortable life.
“But regardless, stepping up for your son is not all about money. it’s about the time spent. @RealTristan13 you are NOT a good father if you can’ a good father to ALL of your children,” Kai concluded.
This isn’t the first time Thompson has been accused of favoring True and Tatum over his other two children.
In fact, fans were quick to call out the NBA star after he failed to acknowledge his and Maralee Nichols’ son’s birthday earlier this year.
Over the summer, Thompson took to Instagram to wish his Tatum a happy birthday, referring to him as a “gift” and “God’s grace.”
And while some fans saw his heartfelt tribute as sweet, others slammed him for not posting anything for his son Theo, whom he welcomed seven months before Tatum’s birth.
“You should love and praise ALL your children equally. That’s what real dads do,” one person commented.
Theo “deserves a happy birthday as well,” another chimed in.
Aside from Thompson’s four kids, he also has temporary guardianship of his younger brother Amari following their mother Andrea’s death in January.
The 17-year-old — who deals with medical conditions that require 24/7 support — was put under Thompson’s care in September
While Amari originally moved into the former Lakers star’s Hidden Hills, Calif., home, the duo was later forced to move in with the Good American co-founder after Thompson’s roof caved in.
Despite Khloé and Thompson — who have long denied that their romance started while he was still dating Jordan — maintaining an amicable co-parenting relationship, the reality star has previously shut down rumors of romantic reconciliation.
