Travis Kelce’s mom revealed one of her private chats with Taylor Swift inside the VIP box at the Kansas City Chiefs game included a quick football lesson.
Donna Kelce appeared on the 3rd hour of the “Today” show on Friday when co-host Craig Melvin asked her to spill what they were talking about.
“I’ll never tell you!” Donna said while the four co-anchors laughed.
The mom of two then backtracked and explained that she was answering a technical football question Swift had.
“You know what it was? I was talking about this, you know, when the commercial people come out in the orange gloves and they’re on the field, I was mentioning when they go like this, the commercial’s over and they can play again,” she said while rotating her arm in the motion.
Even though she gave a slight insight into her encounters with her son’s new lady friend, Donna, 70, has continued to stay pretty quiet on the budding romance and simply called the interactions “OK” on the “Today” show Friday.
“I don’t like to talk about it. It’s just one of those things where everyone saw me,” Donna continued. “I was in the boxes with her. It’s another thing that’s amped up my life.”
Donna — who seems to approve of the relationship — previously admitted that the last few weeks have been “surreal,” after meeting Swift at her first Chiefs game in Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 24.
“It’s something I never thought I’d be involved with,” she said on Friday’s episode of the “Got It From My Momma” podcast.
Donna was first photographed with the “Cruel Summer” songstress in Travis’ suite on Sept. 24, and they caught up again when Donna joined Swift’s suite of A-listers to cheer on the Chiefs last Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
The two were seen chatting and hugging throughout the intense match before Swift, 33, left with Travis, 34, to celebrate the win.
“Donna likes Taylor and thinks she’s very sweet and down to earth,” a source told People after their second game together.
Both the tight end and the Grammy winner have also kept quiet on the details of their new romance.
However, Travis did tease on a Sept. 27 episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” that his family and friends had “nothing but good things to say about her.”
The two have reportedly been “hanging out” for the last month and have since been spotted several times looking cozy while spending quality time together.
