Gwyneth Paltrow wants the world to know she’s tight with her ex-husband Chris Martin’s girlfriend, Dakota Johnson.
A fan asked the Goop founder to describe her relationship with the “Fifty Shades of Grey” star during an Instagram Q&A on Thursday, to which Paltrow replied, “We’re actually very good friends.”
The Oscar winner continued to gush over Johnson and even admitted that she loves her “so much.”
“She’s an adorable, wonderful person,” she said.
Paltrow, 51, and Johnson, 34, have been spotting spending time together on numerous occasions over the years.
The two actresses linked up at a Gucci fashion show in Los Angeles in 2021, where they were seen pleasantly chatting.
A year prior, Johnson joined Paltrow and Martin on a family ski trip to Aspen, Colo., where they were joined by the exes’ two children: Apple, now 19, and Moses, now 17.
And last January, the “Shakespeare in Love” star made rare comments about her fond feelings for the Coldplay frontman’s partner during an “Ask Me Anything” session on Instagram.
Responding to a fan who asked whether she “loves” Johnson, Paltrow replied, “Very much.”
Paltrow and Martin, 46, married in 2003 but announced that they were ending their marriage 11 years later.
She infamously coined the term “conscious uncoupling” when first announcing their separation.
“In many ways we are closer than we have ever been,” Paltrow wrote in a statement at the time.
“We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
The duo finalized their divorce in 2016 and have continued to co-parent their kids and remain on amicable terms.
The “A Sky Full of Stars” singer began dating Johnson a year later, though they have kept their romance relatively under wraps.
“We’ve been together for quite a while, and we go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it’s nice to be at home and be cozy and private,” the “Persuasion” star told Elle UK in 2021.
The pair moved into a $12.5 million Cape Cod-style mansion in Malibu, Calif., in January 2021 after sparking engagement rumors a month prior, though they have yet to confirm the proposal speculation.
While Johnson and the musician typically keep tight-lipped about their love, Martin did dedicate a song to her during a performance in October 2021.
Paltrow also found love again following her split from Martin. She began dating “Glee” co-creator Brad Falchuk in 2014, and the two tied the knot four years later.
The lovebirds met on set of the musical comedy series and got engaged in 2018.
“I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy,” Paltrow wrote in a Goop Magazine at the time.
The TV writer, 52, was previously married to Suzanne Bukinik from 1994 to 2013, and they share two children: Isabella, 19, and Brody, 17.
Paltrow spoke out about the difficulties of being a stepmom to Falchuk’s kids earlier this year, admitting via Instagram that she “did find it really hard at first.”
“There’s no book on this. Nobody tells us what to do. And in fact, all of the existing media around what a stepmother is casts us in this evil, villainous light,” she said, adding, “It’s kind of like trying to avoid landmines.”
Falchuk and Paltrow waited nearly a year to blend their families into one home after getting married to ease their respective children into the new change.
“We were just trying to be mindful and give them a little space and not move too quickly,” she said during a “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” interview in October 2019.
