Caitlyn Jenner’s mother, Esther Jenner, died Thursday. She was 96.
“I am heartbroken to announce my mom passed away yesterday morning, peacefully,” Caitlyn captioned an Instagram post Friday.
“Losing a mother is unique in the sense that she is the only person that loved me my entire life,” the Olympian, 73, continued.
“I will miss her tremendously. She was a few weeks shy of 97 and lived a full life. Love you mom.”
The heartfelt post featured a throwback photo of Caitlyn, Esther and an unidentified woman celebrating the late matriarch’s 95th birthday as they grouped around numerical balloons.
Two other photos in the carousel post showcased Esther’s warm smile as she sat at a dinner table.
People flooded the comments section with condolences, including “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum Siggy Flicker, who wrote, “So very sorry for your loss. May your mom rest in peace
