Aaron Rodgers’ dad claimed that his son’s ex-girlfriend, Olivia Munn, spread lies about their family feud to protect her reputation.
The NFL star’s estranged parents, Ed and Darla Rodgers, blasted Munn in an excerpt of Ian O’Connor’s new book, “Out of Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers,” exclusively obtained by The Post Tuesday.
“She just made stuff up to make herself look good,” Ed said, adding, “She said the family was dysfunctional before she met Aaron, which is bull.”

Ed explained that before the “Magic Mike” actress came into the picture, he and his wife were attending all of Aaron’s games and even stayed at his home.
“We had a great relationship. Nothing bad was going on,” Ed added.
Munn claimed during a 2018 interview on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM radio show that her then-boyfriend stopped talking to his parents eight months before she came into the picture, which Ed called “a lie.”
Darla also shut down Munn’s claims that she and Ed used their son’s football career to grow their own businesses.
“I can think about showbiz families that, like the Kardashians, climb all over each other for fame and stuff like that. But that’s not our family. Nobody did that,” Darla said.
She insinuated in her interview with Cohen that Ed, a sports chiropractor, and the athlete’s brother Luke, who sells images of the quarterback for his apparel company, used Aaron to get ahead.
“I do believe that family and fame and success can be really complicated if their dreams are connected to your success,” she said at the time
“Their work has a direct connection to what he does,” she continued. “At the end of the day, there’s a lot of complications. I don’t think either side of the road is clean, but I do think it’s not OK when you try to stand on someone’s shoulders and then throw dirt in their face, which is what I think they did with him.”
Aaron claimed that Munn was not the cause behind his family rift, telling O’Connor she “has nothing to do with all the years before” and explaining that their family issues are “deep-rooted” while declining to go into detail about the specifics.
A source suggested that Ed and Darla, who are religious Christians, were upset by some of Munn’s actions over the years, including how she openly discussed her sex life with Aaron. The couple also allegedly disapproved of the New York Jets player living with Munn before marriage.
“She was saying all that and it pissed Darla off, really pissed her off,” someone close to the family told O’Connor.
Ed and Darla’s relationship with Aaron shattered in the winter of 2014 when Munn had been living with him in Green Bay.
The “Newsroom” actress and Aaron broke up in April 2017 after three years together, though his family seemingly has yet to make amends.
Aaron’s parents stressed that they wanted to make things right with their son — no questions asked — whenever he was ready to move forward.
“Yes, we’re all about forgiving and forgetting,” Darla told O’Connor. “We would be so happy to move on. …. The new relationship needs to start, and it just feels weird that we can’t communicate even big-life things with him.”
Ed added, “And we have unconditional love for him. No matter what happened, we would just like the relationship.”
Aaron, for his part, agreed that reconciliation was “definitely possible.”
Munn secretly married John Mulaney in July. She and the comedian share 2-year-old son, Malcolm, whom they welcomed in November 2021,
“Out of Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers” hits shelves on Aug. 20.
