Teresa Giudice has her husband’s back.
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star defended Luis Ruelas during Sunday’s Season 14 reunion after he sparked backlash for wishing “suffer[ing]” on Margaret Josephs’ son.
When the cast members saw the clip for the first time during this weekend’s sitdown — filmed in different rooms due to the “divisive state of the show” — Josephs said she was “horrified” by the comment.

“I had to make the sign of the cross,” the 57-year-old said. “That’s disgusting.”
After Dolores Catania chimed in to say that Ruelas, 49, would “get s–t” for saying that, Giudice replied, “I don’t care.
“Listen, my kids suffered!” said the Bravolebrity, who shares Gia, 23, Gabriella, 19, Milania, 18, and Audriana, 14, with ex-husband Joe Giudice. “My stepson suffered. My daughters suffered.”
She told Catania, 53, not to “stick up for” Josephs when the “Traitors” star doubled down on Ruelas’ remark being “wrong.”
Teresa, 52, told her co-stars to “drop it.”
She added, “He was upset. People make mistakes. I know he did not mean to say that. I’ll make sure he says sorry.”
Notably, Ruelas issued an Instagram Story apology two days after the finale aired on August 4.

“The finale was very tough for me to watch,” he wrote. “I was disappointed in my actions in bringing up Margaret Josephs [sic] son.
“I know better than to bring up someone’s child and it is something I deeply regret,” the businessman continued. “I do want to apologize and acknowledge that I was wrong.”
Josephs has stayed silent about his apology.
As for Teresa’s estranged sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, she called Ruelas’ dig “one of the lowest lows” she’s witnessed on 14 seasons of the Bravo show.
The series’ non-traditional reunion comes on the heels of Andy Cohen publicly considering shaking up the cast with “fresh faces” — although he clarified last month that nothing is “definitive” yet.
“I was just riffing,” the Radio Andy host said. “We are going to reimagine the show in some way.”
Cohen also spoke out about Ruelas on Tuesday’s episode of the “Garbage World” podcast, calling the whole situation “dark.”
He has yet to address Ruelas going viral on social media for saying he has encouraged Giudice’s daughters to wear thongs and short skirts.
