Donald Trump’s supporters claimed Rod Stewart’s recent bout with strep throat is “karma” for mocking the former president’s complexion.
The “Maggie May” singer took to Instagram Wednesday to announce that he was “absolutely gutted” to cancel his 200th Las Vegas residency show hours before he was due on stage.
“I’m desperately sorry to miss this 200th show celebration,” Stewart, 79, wrote.

“Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me. I’m absolutely gutted. I’ve been looking forward to this concert for so long,” he continued.
“My deepest regrets for any inconvenience this has caused.”
While many fans wished the Grammy winner a speedy recovery, some seized the opportunity to troll Stewart after he made fun of Trump, 78, during a concert.
