Don’t mess with Sara Al Madani.
In an exclusive interview with Pvnew’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, the “Real Housewives of Dubai” star details her decision to split from her “thirsty” now-ex-beau, Akin Fontana, and why she hired a detective to investigate him.
“There’s a problem when the exterior don’t match the interior, right? And there’s a problem when there’s a grown-ass man so thirsty for fame and a moment and he would use you to [be on TV],” Al Madani says of the hunky model and fitness pro, who she feels showed his true colors months into their romance.
“I remember when we were filming, he went back to Germany [where he lives]. And he’s like, ‘So when am I coming back for more?’ I said, ‘Darling, it’s done. We’re done filming this, that part of my life.’”

Al Madani claims that Fontana did not react well.
“He’s like, ‘How dare you take me off the show. How dare you.’ And I’m like, ‘Bro.’ I was like, ‘I’m confused,’” she recalls, emphasizing that she has saved “messages” and “receipts” from the purported exchange.
The twice-divorced single mom — whose close relationship with her son, Maktoum, is documented on “RHODubai” — has been vocal about her desire to marry again, which she believes Fontana wanted to take advantage of.
“To be honest, he was rushing to get married after two months of meeting each other,” she tells “Virtual Reali-Tea.” “He wanted to rush into marriage and it was weird.”
She elaborates, “He’s like, ‘I want to get married.’ And I’m like, ‘Bro, I don’t even know you.’ When I say I want to get married, that’s my end goal — that doesn’t mean I want to marry Akin. It means in the end, I want to get married and have kids. I’m not dating for fun.”
Fontana’s penchant for the limelight paired with his disconcerting comments on matrimony were among several reasons Al Madani called it quits on their courtship.
According to the Bravolebrity, he was also “extremely controlling” — and allegedly tried to forbid her from working out at co-ed gyms.
“He told me that I could not go to a gym that has men in it. But he’s a trainer and he trains women. Have you seen how trainers stretch women?” she says.
“I was like, ‘So you stretch women like that and you train women and I’m not allowed to go to a gym?’ So it was OK for him and not OK for me.”
Al Madani says Fontana often accused her of seeing other men, which she feels may have been a projection of his own actions — so she employed a PI to get to the bottom of it.
“I hired a detective because he always accused me of doing weird things. I’d be in my room sleeping. He’s like, ‘You’re with somebody.’ I’ll be giving a speech in a hotel, I’ll be in the hotel room after my speech dead and he’s like, ‘Oh, you are with somebody,’” she says.
“The only person who would do this is a person who’s doing that.”
Al Madani claims she found incriminating information, though she is reticent to divulge specifics. “I caught everything,” she teases.
Since then, the brunette beauty has banded together with Fontana’s exes.
“And FYI, just in case Akin is watching this, I’m in a WhatsApp group with all your exes and they’re freakin’ awesome and I love them,” she says. “And I know everything and I have receipts as well.”
If and when those receipts will go public remains to be seen.
“I’m not the kind of person that drops it, but just in case someone wants to get low with me, I have receipts,” adds Al Madani. “I met his exes and they’re all awesome and he screwed their lives, all of them.”
Fontana denied Al Madani’s claims in a lengthy statement to Pvnew.
“I’m shocked and deeply saddened by the accusations being made against me. These statements are entirely untrue, and it’s confusing, weird and shocking to me that she’s choosing to speak out with these rumors and false accusations now, nearly a year after our breakup — especially with the timing of the show coming out,” he said.
“Breakups can be difficult, and I understand that emotions can run high, but I am not a friend of revenge, negativity, or speaking badly about someone just for attention.”
Fontana claims to us that Al Madani “often spoke negatively about her past relationships and partners” throughout their time together and is “disappointed” to feel like the “latest target.”
He went on to say that he “could say many things in response” to his ex — but has “no interest in adding to the drama.”
Fontana concluded, “I believe it’s important to handle personal matters with dignity and respect, and I have no intention of engaging in a public feud or back-and-forth gossip. My focus remains on moving forward positively, and I hope that with time, we can both find peace and closure.”
Al Madani assures us that the breakup — which is expected to play out in some way on “RHODubai” — hasn’t ruined her outlook on love.
“Love is beautiful,” she says. “There’s eight billion people in the world. You think Akin or any of my exes are going to ruin that for me? No way.”
