MyKayla Skinner’s husband, Jonas Harmer, said he’s “proud” of her amid her social media drama with Simone Biles.
“Proud of you for apologizing when you did, staying quiet when you did, and now standing up for yourself. You’re the strongest person I know!” Harmer commented under Skinner’s Instagram apology video Tuesday.
Skinner’s clash with Biles began in June when the former criticized the Team USA women’s gymnastics team in a since-deleted YouTube video.

“Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be,” she said. “The girls just don’t have the work ethic.”
Skinner was fiercely criticized by fans at the time, but the backlash was reignited when Biles, 27, seemingly shaded her after taking home the gold medal with her teammates in last week’s final.
