Teresa Giudice’s husband, Luis Ruelas, apologized for saying he hopes Margaret Josephs’ son “suffers” amid their feud.
Ruelas took to his Instagram Story on Tuesday to post a lengthy statement after receiving backlash for his controversial comment in the Season 14 finale of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” which he acknowledged was “very tough” to look back on.
“After watching the finale, I was disappointed in my actions in bringing up Margaret Josephs [sic] son,” Ruelas wrote.

However, Ruelas explained that he only brought up Josephs’ son — who has never appeared on the Bravo reality series and stays out of the spotlight — because he had been “falsely accused” of calling and threatening him at work during last season’s reunion, which he asserted was “simply not true.”
“For the last year Margaret kept putting this narrative out there that I called her son at work and I have had to deal with it knowing I am being lied on,” he continued.
Nonetheless, Ruelas accepted that he was in the wrong and knows better than to “bring someone’s child up.”
“It is something I deeply regret so I do want to apologize and acknowledge that I was wrong,” he shared.
Ruelas pointed out that his family has also been “really impacted” by all of the “toxicity on the show” and “all that’s happened at the hands of certain people” — without naming names.
“Two wrongs don’t make a right and I deeply regret saying what I said,” he concluded.
The entrepreneur posted the statement after coming under fire for wishing ill on Josephs’ family during the intense “RHONJ” finale, which aired Sunday.
“Tell her to stay away from our family. And you know what? I hope Margaret and her family suffer. You know, I hope her f–king son suffers the way I suffered, the way other people in our family have suffered,” he told Giudice, 52, during a one-on-one conversation.
Ruelas also called Josephs a “disgusting, vile human being” and a “real piece of garbage.”
Viewers quickly took to social media to call his comments “cruel” and “buck f–king wild,” with some even comparing him to “the devil.”
Giudice and Ruelas have been in a years-long feud with Josephs since claiming the Soirée founder had met up with one of his exes to get dirt on him and spread accusations.
Josephs has repeatedly denied leaking anything negative to the press but did admit to messaging Ruelas’ ex.
The “Caviar Dreams, Tuna Fish Budget” author then dropped the bombshell that her co-star Jackie Goldschneider was actually the first cast member to speak with the unnamed ex in early 2021.
However, Giudice continued to direct her anger at Josephs and appeared unbothered by her friend Goldschneider’s involvement during the finale.
The explosive “Last Supper” episode ended with the current cast in shambles, and Andy Cohen confirmed a reboot is in the works.
