Rooney Mara is expecting her second child with Joaquin Phoenix.
The actress, 38, shared a glimpse at her baby bump while posing for photographers at the 74th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany, on Friday.
Mara, who was celebrating the premiere of her new film, The Kitchen, wore a black strapless Givenchy gown while cradling her belly.
This will be the second child for the “Carol” star and Phoenix, 49.
Pvnew exclusively reported that Mara was pregnant with her first child in May 2020.

Joaquin Phoenix explains why he won’t ‘force’ son River to be vegan
How new baby River is helping Joaquin Phoenix heal from brother’s death
She gave birth to a son, River, in August of that year. The couple named their boy after Phoenix’s late brother, River Phoenix, who died of a drug overdose in 1993 at the age of 23.
“River has enhanced their lives more than they’ve ever imagined and has brought them closer together,” a source told Us Weekly in May 2021. “They’re a very private couple and want River to have a normal, healthy upbringing.”
The couple met on the set of the Spike Jonze film “Her,” but didn’t begin dating until they worked together on another film, “Mary Magdalene.”
The Oscar winner confessed to Vanity Fair in October 2019 that initially he believed Mara “despised” him, only realizing later that she was interested but too shy to act on it.
“She’s the only girl I ever looked up on the internet,” Phoenix explained. “We were just friends, email friends. I’d never done that. Never looked up a girl online.”
In July 2019, the couple got engaged.
Both Mara and Phoenix are longtime vegans with Phoenix even talking about it during his Oscar acceptance speech.
It is something that “The Joker” star hopes River will continue.
“Well, certainly I would hope that [he is vegan], but I’m not going to impose my belief on my child,” Phoenix told The Sunday Times in June 2021. “I don’t think that’s right. … So I’m not going to perpetuate the lie, but I’m also not going to force him to be vegan. I’ll support him. That’s my plan.”
A rep for Mara did not reply to Pvnew’s request for comment.
