Taylor Swift says she’s “completely in shock” over Monday’s mass stabbing that killed three little girls and injured eight others at a dance class inspired by her music near Liverpool, England.
The 14-time Grammy winner, 34, took to her Instagram Story Tuesday morning, saying she’s “at a complete loss” following the harrowing news.
“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I’m just completely in shock…,” the “Fortnight” hitmaker wrote.
“The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders.”

“These were just little kids at a dance class,” Swift continued in a message to her 283 million Instagram followers.
“I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”
On Monday, an unidentified 17-year-old arrived to the dance workshop by taxi and started attacking the children and adults trying to stop him.
Hours later, Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy confirmed that two children died and nine others were injured, including six left fighting for their lives.
A third was pronounced dead Tuesday morning.
Two adults were left in critical condition from being stabbed as they “were bravely trying to protect” the kids.
Responding officers “were shocked to find that multiple people, many of whom were children, had been subjected to a ferocious attack and had serious injuries,” Kennedy said in a press conference Monday.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive — or any connection between the unidentified teen and the victims. Police say the attack is not considered terrorism-related.
The victims were rushed to three local children’s hospitals, where they remain.
Following the horrific attack, Swift’s fans have raised more than $25,000 for the families of the victims.
King Charles also spoke out on Monday, saying he and his wife, Queen Camilla, are “profoundly shocked to hear of the utterly horrific incident.”
“We send our most heartfelt condolences, prayers and deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of those who have so tragically lost their lives, and to all those affected by this truly appalling attack,” the monarch, 75, said in a statement.
Following suit, Prince William and Kate Middleton also released a statement.
“As parents, we cannot begin to imagine what the families, friends and loved ones of those killed and injured in Southport today are going through,” the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote on X.
“We send our love, thoughts and prayers to all those involved in this horrid and heinous attack. Thank you also to the emergency responders who, despite being met with the most horrific scenes, demonstrated compassion and professionalism when your community needed you most. W & C.”
