Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have taken their playful banter to the big screen.
The “Red Notice” actor, who stars in “Deadpool & Wolverine” alongside Jackman, reportedly joked about his pal’s real-life divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness in their new Marvel film.
According to Australian site news, in one scene, Reynolds’ character, Deadpool, looked at Jackman’s character, Wolverine, and quipped, “He’s usually shirtless, but he’s let himself go since the divorce.”
While Wolverine’s character has never been through a divorce in the films, the “X-Men” actor has in real life.
In September 2023, Jackman, 55, and Furness, 68, announced their separation after 27 years of marriage.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” the exes said in a statement to People at the time.

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.”
The Australian actress and the “Logan” actor continued, “We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
Though a source told Pvnew that Jackman was “devastated” about the split, he and Furness have remained cordial.
“He’s spoken to Deb and they’ve seen each other,” a separate insider told Pvnew. “They speak pretty regularly.”
Last October, the estranged couple even got together to have dinner in honor of Jackman’s 55th birthday.
Furness and Jackman met on the set of Australian TV series “Correlli” in 1995.
They tied the knot the following year and share two adopted children: Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19.
