Kelly Osbourne says she’s a fan of Ozempic — even though her mom, Sharon Osbourne, publicly shared the harsh side effects she experienced while taking the drug.
“I think it’s amazing,” she raved to E! News while at Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala red carpet on Jan. 30.
“There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something [that] isn’t as boring as working out?”
The television host, 39, also hit back at Ozempic haters, claiming they’re simply jealous they can’t take the injection.

Kelly Osbourne wants plastic surgery for Christmas despite mom Sharon’s regrets
“People hate on it because they want to do it,” she hypothesized. “And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can’t afford it.”
“Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won’t be because it actually works,” she added.
Kelly has been open about her struggles with her weight and body image over the years, even admitting last fall that she went “too far” trying to lose the baby bulk she gained while pregnant with her son, Sidney.
Last December, she also said she wanted plastic surgery for Christmas despite her mother’s warnings about her own experience of getting too much work done.
Kelly’s favorable comments about Ozempic, which is a Type 2 diabetes medication meant to aid with blood sugar levels, came after her mom admitted it helped her lose weight but gave her unpleasant side effects.
“I was very sick for a couple of months,” the 71-year-old star revealed on UK’s “The Talk” in May 2023.
“The first couple of months, I just felt nauseous. Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset, whatever.”
A few months later, Sharon admitted she weighed less than 100 pounds and was not enjoying it.
“I’m too gaunt, and I can’t put any weight on,” she told the Daily Mail. “I want to because I feel I’m too skinny.”
She even admitted Ozzy Osbourne didn’t like her thin frame.
“He thinks something is going to happen to me. It’s too good to be true,” she explained on “Good Morning Britain” in November 2023.
In January, Sharon said she is still having a hard time putting weight back on.
However, she confirmed she doesn’t regret her decision.
Several stars have owned up to using Ozempic or other weight loss drugs over the last year, including Oprah Winfrey, politician George Santos, podcaster Claudia Oshry and more.
Meanwhile, several have denied using any weight loss medication after their slimdowns, such as “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards, her costar Erika Jayne and “The Hills” alum Heidi Montag.
