Jenna Bush Hager’s 4-year-old son, Hal Hager, hilariously cried after finding out that his mom works on television.
During Wednesday’s episode of “Today with Hoda and Jenna,” Bush Hager noted that her son had no idea what her job was.
“He didn’t know where I came to be with you every day, so I showed him the open of our show, and he started crying,” she told co-host Hoda Kotb, who immediately burst out laughing.

“He said, ‘I don’t like it! Turn it off! I don’t like it!'” Bush Hager, 42, recalled, explaining that “at first he was kind of into it” before taking a turn for the worse.
“But he asked me to turn it off. ‘Turn this off! I don’t like it!’ And tears in his eyes, and I was like, ‘What? What is it?’ ‘Turn it off!'” she recalled.
Despite not understanding why he was upset, she theorized he may have “felt deceived,” “didn’t like my suit” or “didn’t like that I was hanging with you.”
“By the way, that is hilarious and sad,” Kotb said while nonstop laughing.
The former First Daughter — who shares three kids with her husband, Henry Hager — has never shied away from talking about her family lives.
Most recently, Jenna admitted that her eldest daughter, Mila, 10, has fallen into the pitfalls of trendy skincare –– despite not being on social media.
“I’m like, ‘Mila, because you don’t need it. Look at your beautiful skin. You don’t need it,’” Jenna recalled on an episode last month.
She later gave an update that they had a heart-to-heart conversation about it and her daughter has since understood where Jenna is coming from.
Meanwhile, Hal is also a frequent topic of conversation, since he’s the youngest in the Hager crew.
Jenna recently made headlines when she revealed that he finally transitioned from a crib to a bed after receiving backlash from both viewers and some of her fellow “Today” show crew.
Jenna and Henry –– who have been married for almost 16 years –– are also parents to daughter Poppy, 8.
