Aurora Culpo confirmed she was “dumped” by Paul Bernon in early July after her sister Olivia called him her “flavor of the month.”
“The next day, he called me and said ‘It’s not working,'” she revealed on Wednesday’s episode of her “Barely Filtered” podcast.
“He was not the flavor of the month. He was the flavor of two months,” she joked. “I would have preferred it to go longer, but unfortunately he dumped me.”

Olivia, 32, made the “flavor” dig during the July 3 episode of her sister’s “Barely Filtered” podcast. The podcast episode was recorded ahead of her wedding to San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, which Bernon did not attend.
Aurora, 35, said she tried getting her show’s producers to cut the quip and immediately apologized to her beau privately once she realized the comment was left to go live with the rest of the show.
She said she was “disappointed” that her and 45-year-old Bernon’s romance fizzled so fast, but saw it coming even before her sister’s June 29 wedding.
“There were things, like, he doesn’t want any more kids [and] I probably do want more kids,” she noted.
Aurora shares two young children with her ex-husband, Michael Bortone, from whom she filed for divorce in April 2022 after he refused to change his cheating ways.
“Our communication style was so different,” she added about the downfall of her relationship with Bernon. “I’m not someone who can give space when someone feels hurt. Like, I need to talk about things right away.”
“We’re not compatible and I would have known that had I let the relationship move at a logical pace, but that’s not how I operate,” she confessed.
And while their relationship didn’t work out, Aurora said she is still fond of the film producer as a person.
“He’s such a nice guy. He’s sweet. He’s generous. He’s a great dad. Super funny,” she gushed on her podcast.
“Just because we can’t be together doesn’t mean that I’m mad at him or doesn’t mean that I don’t still think he is an amazing person, because he is.”
As for why Bernon didn’t attend Olivia’s stunning Rhode Island ceremony, it wasn’t necessarily because he was barred from coming.
Aurora said neither of them felt it was right for him to attend because their relationship was so new.
“Paul and I had decided that he wasn’t going to come to the wedding because it was new,” she divulged.
“I had a lot of responsibility with my kids there. He didn’t know anybody yet. He didn’t want to come and I didn’t want him to come and that was fine and it was nothing personal.”
However, the self-described beauty guru said Bernon met her family during a day at the beach ahead of Olivia and McCaffrey’s wedding.
She expressed her frustration that the paparazzi snapped photos of them, which turned into headlines about him moving on quickly from his previous relationship.
Bernon was previously engaged to “Real Housewives of New York City” alum Bethenny Frankel for about six years.
They ended their relationship several months ago, though reports of their split did not surface until May.
