Justin Timberlake’s lawyer has spoken out after the pop star was arrested on DWI charges in the Hamptons.
The office of local powerhouse attorney, Edward Burke Jr., released a statement to Pvnew on Wednesday saying: “Mr Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time. He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”
Timberlake, 43, was taken into custody shortly after midnight on Tuesday in Sag Harbor, NY.
The “Cry Me a River” singer was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two other traffic violations, including not stopping at a stop sign and failure to stay in a proper lane of travel.

The singer was photographed leaving the Sag Harbor Village Police Department on Tuesday morning.
Burke is a prominent Hamptons attorney who has repped Matt Lauer, Lizzie Grubman, Jason Kidd and other VIP clients.
Ironically, his office is also in Sag Harbor, right near where the Timberlake incident occurred.
The “SexyBack” singer was arraigned and released from custody on his own recognizance Tuesday morning.
His next court date is set for July 26, but we’re told he will not have to attend the procedural hearing.
A source previously told Pvnew that the former *NSYNC member was pulled over after having dinner with pals on Monday night at Sag Harbor’s historic American Hotel, where “there were cops stationed outside.”
We hear Timberlake, who was driving a gray 2025 BMW vehicle, failed a field sobriety test and repeatedly refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Our insider shared that the arresting officer “was so young that he didn’t even know who the pop star was,” adding, “He didn’t recognize him or his name.”
A criminal complaint obtained by Pvnew states that the “Friends with Benefits” actor claimed to have consumed only “one martini” at the posh Long Island hotel before following friends home.
However, police noticed he had “bloodshot and glassy eyes,” which could be seen in his mugshot, in addition to “a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” on his breath during the investigation, according to the documents.
“He was a gentleman,” a second source tells us. “He didn’t show any entitlement at all. He did refuse the tests, but that is his right.”
